What are “Poster Edges”?

I applied a Photoshop filter to most of the photos on this website. Commonly, I use the “poster edges” filter to accentuate the lines in each image; my goal is to make the final product look more like an illustration than a photograph.  Sometimes it works!

Since I’ve spent a good deal of my time outdoors taking pictures of flowers for my other blog, here I wanted to concentrate on creatures and places. I hope the pictures tell their own story.
